Waking Lights @ Mexicali Live

Here we go,

I went to Mexicali live towards the end of January to check out two of my old friend's bands, Waking Lights. If you have not heard of them they are very creative, I suggest you check them out. I say this because they are a talented group of musician's. In no way does my youth with them help have anything to do with this short review. I give credit where it is deserved and trust me it is. Blizzard

Yea I went out it in the snow. Sadly the wind was too intense to take pictures outside anywhere else aside from this bandshell in my town. I kind of had to stop in it to take a break from the storm. It was also the only place I was able to take pictures without getting my camera too wet. I know it sucks, but I think I am just settling for anything to get myself motivated again.

This is My Reassessment Period

I strongly dislike the winter, but I love winter pictures. That being said I'll be trying to figure out how to deal with this dilemma. The book I am reading in the picture is a gift I was given for Christmas. It's called Heart of the Artichoke and other kitchen journeys. It's pretty good I like the writer David Tannis so far... He writes as I would have written if I wasn't illiterate and actually knew how to cook... or take pictures for that matter.

ZOMBIECON NYC 2010

Soo it's a week about 5 -6 days late, but I have officially figured out what my favorite pictures from ZOMBIECON were. It was an amazing experience. I plan on doing it again next year. I suggest everyone tries it at least once. It's aWHOLElotta of fun dressing up for no reason with hundreds of people. Freaking out tourist, little kids, old ladies and rich people with 200,000+ dollar cars. It may have been the most fun I have had in a very long time. Oh and that doesn't even include the afterparty ;) You can find all of those pictures on the link under.

Ramapo Reserve

Sooo I kinda became a little fed up with everyone around the country feeling that New Jersey is a guido-fest cesspool. That being said here is a bit of my contribution to the state. I hope this can help show people that New Jersey is more than shopping malls, industry and the Jersey shore.

Portland, Maine

So I headed up to Portland to take a break from life. Everyone I met was like why did you come here. When I told them I wanted to relax and get away, every person i talked to was like... hahaha no seriously why did you come here..... Given, you can visit the entire city in three days, but it really is a remarkable place. If you have a significant other I'd suggest looking up resturants on I believe its called wharf street. It's a cobblestone road a block away from J's Oyster Bar. Just make sure if you are bringing a girl she stays away from heels cause the entire road is cobblestone. Night life is pretty awesome, I mean you will never get close to NYC nightlife in Maine, but its decent enough to have a good time. So check out the views, be a tourist. No one cares as long as you drink, eat and live.

Transformers 3 in Chicago

So I don't know how well you can see this but if you click on the picture you should be able to see it with a bit more detail. The bridge in the back with the cars all crazy is where they were shooting obviously. They had pyrotechnics going off which I missed. oh and I apologize for my brothers gigantic head on the bottom left corner, but if it wasn't him it would of been someone else. The place was packed with tourists. Bottom line Chicago is an awesome city to check out more pictures will be up in a few

Chicago

Sooo I went to chicago for my brothers bachelor party extravaganza part II, and may I just say, it may be greatest city I have ever been to. First, I have never seen so many beautiful women in all my life, the streets are clean and they have old style. Yes it may be horrible, but it is still the first beer you search for as soon as you make way to the nearest establishment. It's kind of like what PBR is to hipsters. Anywho so I went by the lake took this set of pictures after seeing the making of transformers 3. ..I guess i'm on a Pano kick

Red Rock

When I was in Vegas I took a few snapshots of this pretty awesome mountain line at Red Rock . It may not be the best, but it is my first panoramic so I hope whomever reads this gets to feel a bit of what I felt. It truly is tremendous, everything about it. Plus it's only 30 min off the strip So you don't have to travel far to get a beautiful view and you can drive strait through.. If you don't feel like breaking a sweat... SEE !!! No excuse not to go next time you are out there.

Day at the zoo

I took a trip to the Bronx Zoo for a few weeks back and used the photos for my 35mm Gallery. It all went well until my guide on my camera cracked forcing me to call it an early day. Good news is the camera is fixed and I'll be using it for my desert shoot in Vegas the bad news is I never really got the shots I wanted.

Aside from being one of the most beautiful models I've worked with. Jenny also happened to be the most mature as well. I guess it goes to show that with age comes awesomeness.

Danielle Rose

Oh man, I have a whole lot of work to do. When I walked into my friend/ hair stylist's house on Friday and saw Danielle I thought to myself.... SHIT!!! I NEED TO GET OUT OF THE FUCKING JERZ!!!!! NOT ANOTHER PIN UP SHOOT!!!!! I eventually got over myself and saw this beautiful young girl named Danielle Rose. She was so much fun to work with and took all of my awkward abuse. I think I even asked her if she was of age at one point. Followed by me asking for a consent form I believe. ; )

Page 3 as you can see is done. I had been trying to think how to go bout it till it finally clicked that simplicity was the best approach. Sorry about the week long delay.

This is My Life: Page 1

It all started as my first comic series. Unfortunately for all of you and my free time, it could not be left at that. The series is based off of some true and made up incidents. These incidents have either happened to myself, friends, or I just thought would have been funny if happened to anyone.

I started working on this mess of of comic two days ago. I will try to post another page every week, possibly twice a week. This is My Life as become more of a "watch as I grow" series with some mildly grotesque and cute humor. In the long run I guess I just want to make people laugh and start learning how to draw. This just seemed like a fun way to do both.

Daginn Ég sat og drakk

I was looking through my sketch books and saw this little mess I drew on probably what was the only true vacation I have ever had. I went to Ocean City, NJ in October of 2008 and did nothing but sit down, draw, shoot everything around me within looking distance of my lounge chair... Oh yea and drink my face off. It was amazing, and I cannot wait to do it again next month.
Ocean City is possibly the only Jersey shore area aside from the Sandy Hook nude beach that lacks many a Jersey Guido.
I strongly suggest if you are stuck in Jersey and want to avoid the trash, you check it out.
